Green Ka
ren, LLC was formed in 2014 out of my motivation to positively impact the world by working to solve the systemic issues of our time with systemic solutions. The company is the culmination of my desire to design perennial edible landscapes in the suburbs, my practice of permaculture design and my participation in creating numerous large and small-scale regenerative ecological designing projects across the United States.
The form and function of natural ecosystems is what provides the template from which my philosophy is derived. I have a deep familiarity with Midwestern ecological systems and can offer advice on planting large and small-scale restoration systems.
For large-scale restoration projects, I collaborate with Mark Shepard and his design team at Restoration Agriculture Development.
At this point, I want to collaborate with anyone possessing vigor in sustainability because I am a believer in two, three, or a dozen heads being better than one! My specialties include regenerative ecological design, permaculture design, food forestry, ecology, plant ID, biological illustration, and drawing.
